Pre-wedding photoshoot would be more exciting and meaningful if you have some knowledge of Japanese style outfits and hairstyles for Japanese style wedding. Please take a look at this post to learn some features about them. It is guaranteed it would be helpful!

It is possible to wear both Shiromuku(White kimono) and Irouchikake(Colored kimono)  for your photo shoot with DWPG. Moreover, we always prepare various patterns and designs of kimono so that you could find perfect one for yourself.

Even the western-hairstyles as shown below would beautifully match kimono and it is also popular amongst many customers. Please count on our professional hair stylists to arrange your hair perfectly. If you are not sure what suits you, please do not worry! We will find the best one for you.

Also the process of choosing flower accessories for your hair is one of the fun parts of the preparation for your photoshoot. We also arrange and put the flowers gorgeously that you choose to make you look more brilliant. You can even enjoy the preparation too! 

If you would like very traditional one, here are some pictures for the options of your hair-do below. The following Black coloured kimono with "Tsunokakushi (bridal hood)" is only used during Japanese wedding ceremony. Tsunokakushi can be used both Irouchikake(colored kimono) and Shiromuku(white kimono). 

"Wataboshi (bridal headdress)" is a ceremonial garment only used with Shiromuku(White kimono). Wataboshi is popular because it makes bride look like she is hiding inside of the headdress, which makes bride seem modest.

How About taking a photo shoot in Yasaka, Kyoto in the summer?

Hello, I am Yamamura from Studio TVB Kyoto shop.
Finally it is July!! Summer is coming.

Gion festival that makes summer in Kyoto colorful just started today!! Gion festival is one of three most famous festivals and Shijo-street is very crowded.  I hear a festival music from outside and feel joy of festival everywhere. I am so excited because I love festivals. Gion festival is the festival of Yasaka-jinja shrine.

Today I would like to introduce the customer who took a photo shoot with “Yasaka pagoda course” where around Yasaka-jinja shrine. We recommend this “Yasaka pagoda course” for customers who demand to take photo shoot at the Kyoto-like town. 

There are only a few people around, so early morning is recommended. The photo shoot is just like a fun sightseeing, because we walk trough slowly Yasaka pagoda.

It is possible to take a photo shoot this shrine as below if it is early morning.

Sometimes, we would take photos of each of Groom and Bride.

祇園祭 Gion festival                祇園祭是日本三大祭典之一。祭典期間橫跨整個七月份。其中更是有許多大大小小的祭典活動被舉行。最廣被人知的“前祭（17日）"和“後祭（24日）"規模最大。

Gion festival is one of the three greatest festivals in Japan. It takes place over the entire month of July and there are many different events during this period. Generally the grand procession of floats (17^th July) and the small festival on the eve of the main festival (around 24^th July) are particularly popular.

五山送火 Gozan Okuribi

五山送火是於每年的8月16日晚間所舉行的篝火。因宗教、歷史的背景，又稱「大文字送火」。關於起源有很多種說法，較為普遍的說法認為它是盂蘭盆節（迎接祖先魂靈回歸故裡的活動）的送火（為了送走祖先的魂靈在門前焚燒篝火）活動。除了上面提到的三處，周圍的各山也在同一時刻點燃篝火，其中包括金閣寺大北山的左大文字山上的“大”字篝火、西加茂的船山上的“船形”篝火以及嵯峨的曼陀羅山上的“鳥居”形（“鳥居”是立在神社入口處的門）篝火，以上這些合起來構成“大文字五山送火”。相傳，在這天晚上把大文字的火光倒映到酒杯或水盆裡，飲下裡面的酒或水，可以免生疾病，而且，燒剩下的炭還可以去災避邪。
Gozan Okuribi held on the evening of August 16 is one of Kyoto’s symbolic religious ceremonies in summer. Gozan Okuribi consists of five different characters on five mountains: “Daimonji” (large), “Myoho” (Buddha’s remarkable teaching), “Funagata” (ship), “Toriigata” (shrine gate) and “Hidaridaimonji” (large on Mt. Hidaridaimonjiyama).  These five characters are lit off one after another from 8 p.m.
